Call An Emergency Plumber To Handle A Clogged Drain

Blog

If you wake up in the middle of the night with an overflowing toilet and your sinks backing up, you don't want to leave the situation as is, because that is going to cause all kinds of problems and make it harder for you to clean up later. When you do wake up to that kind of mess, the only thing that you can do is to call a plumber who can come in and do an emergency drain cleaning for you and get your drains working the right way again. There are steps that the plumber is going to do in order to get your plumbing working again.

Clear the Mess

The first thing that the emergency plumber is going to have to do is clear the mess up. They aren't going to be able to clean the drains if there are things in their way. The best way to do that is to use something like a wet/dry vac. The vac can suck up the water and other debris from the drains so that the plumber can see what they are doing so that they can clear your drain out.

Evaluate

Once the mess has been cleared out, it will be time for the plumber to evaluate what is going on. They may look at all the different drains in your house to see if they can figure out which one started having problems. The plumber may also have to run a camera down through your pipes until they can find out what the problem is and what they need to do in order to fix it. The plumber may even have to go outside your house and run the camera up through the pipes that way if they can't find a problem inside your house.

Clean It Up

There are various ways that the plumber can clean the drains, depending on how deep the problem is and what the problem is. One thing they can do is send a special brush down through the pipes that will knock out all of the gunk. The plumber may also send a motorized auger down through the pipes to break up any clogs. The plumber may also have to use a hydrojet nozzle that will cut through the mess in the pipes.

If you wake up with a huge mess from your plumbing, you need to call a plumber to clean the drains out and help you handle the mess. Reach out to a plumber who offers emergency drain cleaning for more information.

Fast Facts and Deep Insights: Septic Edition

As you read the articles on this website, you will notice two things. First, they are all about septic services in some ways. Second, some go deep — and others are full of more surface-level facts. This is kind of like your septic system itself! The tank is buried deep, but the drain field is more superficial. You don't have to be an expert on septic systems, but as someone who owns one, you should at least know how to tell when something is wrong with yours so you can call for service. You'll get that level of understanding from this blog — and probably more!
